Scholarship Background

Diamond Hill is fiercely committed to generating excellent, long-term investment outcomes and building enduring partnerships.  We are committed to increasing representation of historically underrepresented groups in our industry’s talent pipeline while combatting the disproportional student debt loan gap.

Each year, we will provide a $5,000 scholarship to up to two of our summer interns who demonstrate our core values of curiosity, ownership trust and respect and who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity in the financial services industry. Our goal is to help reverse the disproportional student loan debt gap and take action in supporting the long-term financial wellness and equity for underrepresented groups.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be a current summer intern at Diamond Hill in good performance standing. 
  • Candidates must demonstrate Diamond Hill’s core values of Curiosity, Ownership, Trust, and Respect.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to supporting underrepresented groups with preference towards advocacy in financial services
  • Candidates must attend a college or university in the U.S.

Application Requirements

  • Essay: Select one of the Diamond Hill Core Values of curiosity, ownership, trust, and respect; in one page, describe how you do, or how you will implement this value in your current and future professional career. 
  • Essay: describe how you have demonstrated support to underrepresented groups.
  • Resume: include school, work, volunteer, and other experience, along with awards, organizations, etc.
  • Letter of Recommendation (from an academic contact or past supervisor) 
  • FAFSA Submission Summary

Upon completion of the initial set of questions, the option to upload the documents will appear.
